Our Team

Matt Carr

Matt is one of the founders and managers of Soltek Roofing and Solar Ltd. Focusing on the Solar division Matt brings hands on expertise to design and installation of Solar PV systems, complimented by his extensive experience in the roofing industry of over 15 years. Matt grew up on the east coast of Canada, but has called Edmonton home for decades. He was educated right here at NAIT in Architectural Technologies, giving him a solid background and understanding of home and buildings system, and how they work together. When not on the roof, he’s busy being a dad to three active kiddos, or squeezing in a run in the beautiful Edmonton river valley.

Andrew West

Andrew is the other founder and manager of Soltek Roofing and Solar Ltd. Andrew’s primary role in the company involves the roofing side of the business, while also working closely with Matt and the solar division. Andrew has been involved in the roofing industry since moving to Canada in 2011. He worked for an Edmonton roofing supply company as an outside sales rep for six years before switching to the contractor side, working for a residential roofing and exteriors company for two years. Andrew also has four years of construction experience while he attended and graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia with a Bachelor of Business.
